Media Management


Management in Media offers the best possible educational experience. Through a four-year study program we provide interactive lectures performed with the latest methods in media and computer laboratories. This study program is multidisciplinary and contains the following areas:
• Management and business;
• Cultural sciences and communication;
• Drama and audiovisual art;
• Information technology, and
• Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management.

The purpose of the study program is the education of students for the management and organization of media companies and systems, planning and realization of projects in culture and media, acquisition of knowledge in the field of mass communications, creative digital media production, communication via the Internet and social networks, media management.

The Media Management study program is in line with the world’s contemporary trends in the media profession, as well as with contemporary trends in communication processes, and as such is comparable to similar educational institutions in the world and in Europe.

The purpose of the study program is to provide the competencies necessary for the following professions:
• Manager in culture and media;
• Producer of media and cultural events;
• Producer of audio-video content;
• Organizer of projects in culture and media;
• Web developer;
• Online Community manager;
• Manager in publishing companies;
• Manager in production houses;
• Manager in information agencies.

    The competencies that are acquired are:
    • Ability to prepare and edit media content;
    • Ability to critically and independently evaluate information and their sources;
    • Knowledge of radio and television genres and production of radio and television content;
    • Knowledge of film genres and film production technology;
    • Ability to capture and process digital photography in different genres;
    • The ability to produce various video content and their preparation for the end user;
    • The ability to design and set up a WEB presentation, design a user interface, interactive platforms, WEB and mobile applications, mobile graphics, 2D and 3D animations;
    • Designing and setting up a media management system;
    • Knowledge of the basics of aesthetics of mass and new media;
    • Planning and managing marketing through social networks;
    • Ability to actively engage in jobs related to creative industries.
